Courses have traditions. Matam had too many of them, of the bad kind. When I first became the TA in charge of it, I took upon myself to clean the course of its nasty habits. Dr. Yechiel Kimchi, without any doubt the Matam lecturer and the course spirit, and myself gathered together and set a new set of rules.

Although many of you will find these rules completely logical, some do not see it so. Mainly veteran students who are used to the course in its old form. I have written this page for those who cannot understand the logic behind the rules, I explain it all here:
